Passenger Terminal Pass
Passenger passes in 2021 reached 3,723,068, a decrease of 46.71% compared to 6,986,978 in 2020. This was due to a decrease in passenger visits and the up and down activities of passengers not yet returning to normal. Also there was a ban on people going home during Lebaran 2021 that saw a decrease in passenger passes at the Tanjung Pinang, Tanjung Balai Karimun, Tanjung Balai Asahan and Dumai branches. A decline in passenger passes was also experienced at the Makassar, Sorong, Ambon, Balikpapan, Ternate, Parepare, Nunukan and Tolitoli branches.
Harbor Pass
The passenger’s harbor passes in 2021 reached 3,794,742, an increase of 28.68% compared to 2,948,945 in 2020. Likewise, vehicle passes increased by 77.62% from 8,120,614 in 2020 to 14,423,543 in 2021.
