REGIONAL 1

There are 3 (three) BUP pilotage and towing competitors located around the Dumai Regional 1 Port Work Area which raises the possibility of shipping agents around the work area collaborating with other BUPs. The cooperation carried out on a B to B basis with shipping agents is expected to provide a significant contribution to the pilotage and towing services revenue carried out in the Lubuk Gaung area as is currently running with other shipping agents.

With these BUP competitors, Regional 1 remains committed to providing the best service so that the market share that has been achieved to date can be maintained. The strategy that must be carried out to compete against the competitors is to improve the quality of HC and complete the infrastructure for scouting and towing facilities, as well as foster good relationships with TUKS Owners and service users and KSOP as the Regulator.

REGIONAL 2

The construction of the Kijing Terminal, as part of the National Strategic Project (PSN), was targeted to operate for phase 1 by the end of 2021. To support its operations, Regional 2 marketed the Kijing Terminal by approaching potential customers/partners, for container and non-container commodities. In 2021, we reached an agreement in the form of LoI/MoU/HoA with 10 customers/ partners from a target of 5 customers/partners identified as potential customers for dry bulk and dry bulk commodities.
