Building Leases in M2 units reached 877,833 M2, an increase of 60.32% compared to 275,537 M2 in 2020. The water business production for ship water in 2021 reached 2,318,058 tons, an increase of 162.68% compared to 882,457 tons in 2020. The public water business for drinking water in 2021 was 571,421 tons, an increase of 82.27% compared to 313,498 tons in 2020. Then, for miscellaneous services, passenger passes in 2021 reached 3,794,742 pieces, an increase of 28.68% compared to 2,948,945 in 2020. Likewise, the daily vehicles passes increased by 77.62% from 8,120,614 pieces in 2020 to 14,423,543 pieces in 2021.
In addition to operational performance, the Company has also recorded good financial performance. Operating revenues in 2021 amounted to Rp28.81 trillion, an increase of 14.28%, or Rp3.60 trillion compared to Rp25.21 trillion in 2020. Following an increase in interest income, Income for the year after effect of merging entity’s income also increased. Income for the year after effect of merging entity’s income in 2021 amounted to Rp3.18 trillion, an increase of 7.34%, or Rp217.20 billion compared to Rp2.96 trillion in 2020. With the increase in income for the year after effect of merging entity’s income, the Company’s equity also increased. Equity in 2021 amounted to Rp42.05 trillion, an increase of 4.42%, or Rp1.78 trillion compared to Rp40.27 trillion in 2020.
CONSTRAINTS FACED BY THE COMPANY
The positive achievements obtained in 2021 were the result of the Company’s ability to face constraints. These included the gap in HC and organizational development as seen in the work units’ lack of speed in adapting to changes in new business models and the unevenness of HC competencies in all ports when integration was carried out.
To deal with these obstacles, the Company has developed the HC capability and quality. In addition, the Company also faces a technology gap, namely the limited application of integrated technology to support operational processes.
To deal with this, the Company strengthened the use of technology and information systems (including the development of enterprise system integration (Ops and Non-Ops) as well as integration with stakeholder/external systems).
