INCREASING WORLD TRANSHIPMENT VOLUME

The increasing proportion of transshipment volumes, as illustrated in figure above, was driven by the shipping lines infrastructure and shipping patterns. Factors driving this volume increase included: 1) increased special transshipment terminals in the world where port operators develop transshipment hubs as a place to place containers in the middle to create new routes
