As part of marketing activities, customer visits were carried out to gain information on business opportunities and market needs and improve service quality to maintain customer satisfaction. During 2021, 115 online and offline visits to existing and potential customers were carried out at 12 Regional 2 port branches reaching 160% of the target.

REGIONAL 3

Regional 3 conducted customer visits and customer gatherings/ sharing sessions with customers in an effort to increase market share, service quality, and customer satisfaction. During 2021, 415 customer visits were carried out in each sub-region both offline and online. This activity was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic so the realization was only 96% of the set target. In 2021 there were customer gatherings/sharing sessions involving prime customers in Regional 3. This activity was held twice with the events taking place in Bali.

In addition, for developing products/services, Regional 3 also carried out SOE synergies and collaborated with government agencies and private parties, including:

  1. Regional 3 cooperated with Pertamina Group and PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia to change the mode of transportation of Fatty Acid Methyl Esther (FAME) from using tanker trucks to ships for cost and time efficiencies. FAME is used as a component in the mixture of diesel fuel (B0) to produce biodiesel by Pertamina. In this cooperation, Regional 3 provided an integrated service package for the delivery of FAME from BUBBN Wilmar in Gresik using ship transportation, port services at Mirah Terminal, with pipe distribution from the Mirah Terminal wharf to Pertamina’s IT (Integrated Tank) in Tanjung Perak;
  2. Regional 3 and PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) cooperated to manage the TUKS owned by PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) in Gresik in order to reach customers/markets, especially coal commodities due to limited facilities to dock ships in Gresik. The benefits of this collaboration for Semen Indonesia TUKS were to increase utilization of dock usage and loading/ unloading productivity, as well as to increase revenue for Regional 3 and PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) in Gresik; and
  3. Cooperation in fumigation activities with members of the Central Java ASPPHAMMI DPD in Tanjung Emas was a business development program to support the increase in exports from the agricultural industry in Central Java. This collaboration was carried out in coordination with the Semarang Class I Agricultural Quarantine Center as the regulator, and also the Technical Service Unit of the Agricultural Quarantine Agency at the Ministry of Agriculture,
