Information Technology Infrastructure
In the post-merger period, IT asset inventory consolidation is currently being carried out throughout Pelindo, so that asset standardization and asset management efficiency can be carried out in the future.
One of the big assets being researched is related to Datacenter. Currently, Pelindo has 4 (four) data centers due to the merger of 4 (four) companies. These four data centers, with different histories and strategies, resulted in 4 (four) different technology architectures. The Management has highlighted technology architecture alignment of the four data center ecosystems to be more cost efficient and more in line with Pelindo’s future needs. The four data centers in each region have been equipped with backup systems and disaster recovery to maintain the smoothness and continuity of the company’s services.
The current infrastructure trend is the use of cloud technology to replace on premise infrastructure. Cloud technology promises lower operating costs and higher system reliability to support the system and the business. For this reason, Pelindo has also started to apply the technology. Currently, cloud technology has begun to be implemented in the form of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), which has begun to be used in Regional 2 and will be developed for all regions in stages.
